The Colour Supplies team were approached by a customer who just didn't feel the love for the kitchen in their new property. Desperate to make it feel like their own, they booked an appointment in order to chat through their ideas with one of our dedicated kitchen consultants.
The design brief:
- Crucial - An eye-level oven and induction hob to replace the free standing oven which came with the property
- Want to - Keep their new free standing fridge-freezer but have it integrated into the kitchen as much as possible
- Want to - Have a nice, smooth worksurface and splashbacks, eliminating the issue of having to clean grouting between tiles
- Ideally - House the boiler to blend into the kitchen and elimate visible pipework, where possible, to neaten up the surrounding area
The next stage:
With the customer chosing a timeless, smooth shaker style door in light grey and stainless steel bar handles, the design was created for them, as above. Below you will see the before and after images for a kitchen that has now truly become the heart of their home.
✔ Beautiful, sleek lines and repeating vertical door handles have transformed this kitchen into a modern, light and airy space. Keeping it tonal adds to the feeling of spaciousness.
✔ The customer now has the desired low maintenance finish with the addition of splashback to all work surfaces. They'll find it quick and easy to keep clean.
✔ The boiler is now unrecognisably within a matching wall cupboard. This adds continuity and enhances the overall minimal look, especially with the new hidden pipework.
The final look:
✔ With the addition of a stainless steel extractor hood, built in hob and Hotpoint double oven the cooking area is now efficient, compact and easy to access.
✔ The large fridge-freezer had a side panel and a high level cupboard added to give it the built-in look they were after, and now offers proper storage above.
