Do I need to register to shop online with Colour Supplies?

No, you do not need to register to shop with Colour Supplies. 

You can choose your products via the site and start shopping immediately, your personal details only have to be entered during the checkout procedure.

Why should I register with the Colour Supplies website?

When you choose to register with us, you will receive e-mails from time to time to keep you up-to-date with the latest news, previews and special offers available, unless you specifically ask not to. 

We periodically offer special promotions ranging from free delivery to in store discount days, ideal for our local customers, and will inform customers who have registered of these promotions. If you decide to register you could start saving money when you do want to buy.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We currently accept orders online paid for by Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Solo or Maestro (Switch). And, of course, via Paypal.

As an additional security measure to combat unauthorized card use you will be asked to enter the last three digits of the number printed on the reverse of your card at the checkout (this is called the Security Number).

I have a Housemakers Account, why do I need to register again?

The new Colour Supplies website has more account functions for you and we think you are going to love it!

However, it is a different website and therefore because of GDPR and privacy issues you will have to start a new account with Colour Supplies.

I bought products from the Housemakers website - what about my guarantee?

All purchases bought before we changed to 'Colour Supplies' will still be covered by our guarantee and we retain details of your purchases.

I signed up to Newsletters on the Housemakers website, will I still receive these?

We'll be sending a Welcome email for the new Colour Supplies newsletter in due course, you'll have the option to Opt-Out but we do hope that  you'll stay with us!  

How safe is it to purchase from you online?

When you place your order you are automatically connected to our secure server using SSL 128 bit encryption. A closed padlock icon will show in your browser status bar to illustrate that you are now in a secure area. 

This means your personal card details are fully encrypted and remain secure across the internet and after they reach our order processing centre.

Could someone else use my card fraudulently?

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.

If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. 

This also protects you if someone else has used your card and cannot fully complete the transaction. 

Where do you get your product descriptions and pictures?

We have taken care to provide accurate descriptions and product images, usually taken from suppliers details, and where we have the product on site we endeavour to check that we are describing it accurately. 

In some cases image colour or packaging may differ due to changes in manufacturers content. Some product images are for illustrative purposes only.

All sizes are approximate. 

Why do you suggest products I may also like?

Unlike many large sites that automatically add other products randomly, we take care to personally recommend products that we think you may be interested in based on the product you are looking at.

This helps you quickly access co-ordinating or matching items that you might also like to purchase.

Is the item I want definitely available in the store shown?

We try hard to keep the website up to date with product availability. However, our stock control is not fully integrated and there may be times when an item shows as available in a particular store but has recently sold out.

We will always attempt to transfer stock from another store if we can.

What is PU leather?

PU leather is an artificial leather material made with split leather (that's the fibrous part of the hide left over from making genuine leather) which has been coated with polyurethane (hence the name “PU”).

Wipe it down with warm water to remove dust and dirt. 

Why am I being told the item I ordered online is not in stock?

Our stock system is not fully integrated and there may be some occasions when you place an order for an item with very limited stock and the stock has actually been sold through one of our stores earlier in the day. 

In these circumstances we will offer an alternative, if available, or you can wait for us to have more stock in. If neither of these is possible or convenient to you we will process an immediate refund so you are free to try somewhere else.

What is the delivery waiting time if I order furniture?

All large items ordered from our website, which includes most lounge and bedroom furniture and patio sets, will be delivered by our in-house team.
This means that if you live within one of the areas we can deliver to, once you have placed your order a member of  our team will check availability and contact you directly to choose a mutually convenient delivery time.
This is usually within 1-2 weeks.
